Ray Animal Rescue

Romanian welfare organisation. Rescuing dogs and cats, neutering, educating and treating the ones in need.

Golden Rule: To treat all living things as we ourselves would wish to be treated.

Kindness: To demonstrate compassion and respect for all living creatures.

Positive influence: To judge our effectiveness by the extent to which animal lives are saved and improved, and by the positive experience of the people we touch.

Each year, about 15.000 dogs and cats are killed annually in our nation's shelters. But it doesn't have to be that way. An estimated 17 thousand people will add a new pet to their families this year. If more of them would choose to adopt a pet, instead of buying one, we could reduce the number of animals killed in shelters significantly.

You will save a life.

If you adopt an adult pet, there’s a possibility you can avoid some of the hassles related to house-training and teething, which are associated with puppies and kittens. Of course, if you prefer a puppy or kitten, rescue groups and shelters have plenty of those available as well.

You’ll save money because adoption costs less than buying an animal from a pet shop or breeder.

Perfectly “perfect” animals of all breeds, shapes, ages and sizes are available at shelters and rescue groups. Just because animals end up there doesn’t mean there is anything wrong with them. They are just in need of a second chance.

You just might meet your best friend. Start your search now.

The beauty of a before and after..

I have days when I wonder who made me do this in a corrupt country, without respect for animals, where only money counts … and I have days when I receive pictures like these and I remember there are a few hundred good lives that are now happy .. and tell myself let’s try a bit more!

"In cei 25 de ani ai mei nu am întâlnit o persoana la fel de specială cum este Raisa, atat de mare iubitoare de animale care pune suflet la fiecare animaluț gasit si salvat si in acelasi timp, foarte muncitoare si devotata. Keep it going girl!"
